Why We Started

Carry the Ribbon was founded in honor of a mother taken too soon by cancer — Brilynn Harrell's mom. What began as personal grief became a shared mission for Brilynn, John Michael Pollard, and Jackson Pollard: to carry her memory forward by standing beside other families in Edgecombe County facing cancer, one drive and one small act of care at a time.

What We Do

We show up for families facing cancer and grief in Edgecombe County — through hands-on drives, direct support, and outreach that keeps growing as needs come up.

Blood Drives

We host community blood drives to help keep blood on hand for patients in treatment.

Care Package Drives

We collect and deliver care packages to patients at Duke Cancer Center.

Teddy Bear Drive

Coming this December — collecting teddy bears to bring comfort to patients and families.
